June Goals

Welcome back!

It was so much fun setting and achieving my goals last month that I thought I’d do it again. June is going to be an exciting month for me anyway with the She Speaks Conference. My goals list is very doable this month I think. I hope you’ll root me on.

June Goals

• Complete all Writer for Hire client work by June 15. (Because we leave for She Speaks on June 19 and I want to have time to prepare and rest beforehand.)

• Attend the She Speaks Conference and learn a great deal.

• Prepare speech for She Speaks Evaluation Group.

• Prepare for baby’s arrival next month.

• Blog weekly at A Writer for Hire.

• Blog weekly at Chrysanthemoms.

• Blog weekly at Organized Life by Design.

• Blog weekly at Beauty by Design Ministries.

• Create a Member Feature for Organized Life by Design Network.

• Stick to my routines better.

Yes, I’ll Be There

I’m writing this post for all you ladies who are hopping over from Lysa Terkeurst’s blog about She Speaks. Yes, I’ll be there. Even though I will be 36 weeks pregnant, read more about why this is so important to me here and why I believe this is a God thing here.

I want to say thanks to those of you who did come over from Lysa’s blog for coming and that I can’t wait to “meet” you. I am in awe that there will be 500 ladies there. Did I mention I’m bringing my husband? We celebrate 8 years together on June 17 and come to She Speaks later that week. It will be out “time away” just before baby #3 is born. AHHH!!! I hope I don’t loose him in all those women.

So, ladies, I LOVE comments so be sure to leave me one. If you’ve attended She Speaks before give me your best advice on getting the most out of it. If you have never attended before tell me briefly why you are attending. I would love to know everyone’s reasons.

The other day I set some goals for She Speaks because well I’m just a goal setter. I wouldn’t be me without a PLAN and a GOAL. So here are my goals for She Speaks.

My Goals for She Speaks

• I want to get a clearer vision of where I am going with my ministry.
• I want to learn how to market myself better.
• I want to decide if I am going to pursue becoming a published author.

If you have goals why not post them on your blog and then post the link in my comments and I’ll come over and read them and root you on. I love to be an encouragement to others. Again, I can’t wait to “Meet” you all at She Speaks. I fly out 3 weeks from today! WHOO HOO!!!

We Interrupt this Love Story

Sorry folks, I decided to make you wait another day for the rest of the story. I just had to update you on life as I know it now. As of today, Sunday, May 25, I have 49 days until the baby comes and 25 days until I attend the She Speaks Conference.

Now, for many mommas out there and cautious ladies you all are gasping saying, “You’re going to fly several states away and attend a speaker’s conference with only 4 weeks left in your pregnancy.” and to you I answer, “Yes, ma’am.” This is as close to “living on the edge” as this momma has ever gotten. I have always lived a very sheltered, cautious life. So, this is my “adventurous” side.

Also, it is so me to be busy and involved even with baby number 3 on the way. This baby has to be initiated into my family just like my other two were. With my son I was attending seminary and was working as a youth/children’s minister part time. We joke he already has a seminary education because he was in my belly when I attended several classes in my first semester of Seminary.

Then with Lily, I was still attending some seminary classes, but I was also still doing youth/children’s ministry, and I had begun my ministry to girl’s Beauty by Design Ministries and therefore was doing some speaking on the weekends as well.

So, now that I’m not in Seminary or in youth/children’s ministry this child has to have something so hey he has a momma that is juggling ministry, his siblings and flying two states away to attend a speaker’s conference 25 days before he’s due.

So, call me crazy, but I believe that this is a God thing completely put together by him months ago, so I trust that He has a plan and is taking care of this momma. Now, check back tomorrow for the rest of “My Little Love Story”. If you haven’t been reading it you can find the first post here.
