I just began the new adventure of vlogging (video blogging) and though I was nervous at first and thought I’d be scrutinizing over it too much and being a typical perfectionist, I’ve done better than I thought. Ok, It took about a week and 10 or more tries to produce my first vlog, but now I have 3 vlogs finished, including my entry to Walmart.com’s Money Saving Tip video contest where you can win $6000 in groceries. Making myself look silly on video is definitely worth a shot at that so please please please view my video. Here I’ll make it easy.
Also you can head over to Newbaby.com and view my vlogs there too. You won’t want to miss today’s, Chubby Cheeks. Yes, all my kids have them. Look at them here.
So, now that I’m clearly becoming addicted you’ll have to be on the lookout for more of my vlogs.
Take my word for it, being a WAHM (Work atHome Mom) rocks for more reasons than I’m sure I can think of at the moment, but I have quite a few on my mind. Here are a few of those:
1) The awesome supportive WAHM community.
2) I can stay home with my kids.
3) I can take off when I need to, such as lately when my children have been ill and in the hospital.
4) I am earning a good living from home.
5) It is fun, you never know what you’ll end up doing.
If those weren’t enough reasons there are more. Lately, I’ve been really branching out and doing more and more things online that make being a WAHM interesting and fun. I have done reviews such as my latest one for Kobold toys.
Then, there is the opportunity to do vlogs (video blogs). I’m publishing my first today at NewBaby.com I’ll update this post with the url when it is up or maybe even post the vlog here too. *** UPDATE: Here is the link to the vlog.
Oh, and more good news. I have been nominated to be in the WAHM 2.0’s top 10 WAHM blogs can you go over and vote for me here? Just post a comment that you are voting for Life From my Laptop.com I’d greatly appreciate it.
I used to love grocery shopping, but now that I have 3 kids I’m thinking it’s going to be a bit more difficult to shop. My youngest both need to be in the buggy and so that presents a problem as I will never allow any of my children to ride in the big part of a buggy (my son fell out as an toddler) so, I have to come up with a new strategy.
Yesterday I asked my hubby when we’d be going grocery shopping and was night time an option in his opinion. He said sure and we decided to make it a “family thing” and go get some supper and go grocery shopping this Friday night. To me that’s a win-win I get to spend time with him, the kids, eat out and get groceries.
So, That’s the plan, maybe it’ll turn into a regular occurance I’ll let you know later, I’m sure we’ll have to see how well the first time around turns out first.
Wow, It’s time to do this again?? I completely forgot until someone linked here saying they got the idea of a “weekend” recap from me. EEKKK!!
Anyway, this week honestly has been quite the “blur”. I started out the week in hopes of having baby #3 quickly. However, as I sit here with him still “baking” as some say, you can tell that didn’t happen. Hopefully tomorrow is the ever fateful day. I am going to the doctor at 10 am on Monday, pray he puts me in for induction.
So, recapping this week. Monday was the doctor’s appointment. I had dilated but since then nothing. Tuesday and Wednesday my mom and grandmother came over to help out with the kids and house. Praise God that was a blessing. Thursday I had to go it alone, and Friday Greg ended up off because his state car went capoot. We went out to lunch and out for supper, yay no cooking and had a good time spending time together.
I made mammoth to do lists this week in an effort to “stay busy”, which I pretty much did working online on my websites and installing two Wordpress blogs and doing customizations for two clients. This is sort of one of those “hobbies” I get paid to do. I know it’s not something I really have “time” for, but it’s relaxing and fun to me, I know I’m wierd, a nerd, go read yesterday’s post you’ll understand why I say that. But seriously, I learned Wordpress over time and I have come to love tweaking and playing with it. Fortunately for me there are people out there who hate doing this sort of thing but want a website or blog set up so they pay me. Win-win!
So, between all that and doing ministry related stuff, I booked a speaking engagement this week and worked out the details on that, I’ll be in Senatobia, MS speaking to Moms and daughters at First United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 23. Excited! I have stayed busy this week, ever so impatiently waiting for baby Brady to make his arrival. I am beyond ready and hope upon hope tomorrow is the BIG day!
My husband loves being a daddy. He wanted to be a daddy from the day we got married I think, probably before that. I put him off for a while, so he finally said he just HAD to be a daddy before he was 30. I was pregnant with my son on his 30th birthday so he wasn’t far from meeting that goal. Now he is daddy to 3, technically, as baby #3 will be born in a month or so. Here’s some pics of daddy and babies, and more of the babies that he helped to make so cute!
