Things I Feel Guilty About

Welcome back!
So, I’ve been fighting the fact that I can’t find anything to blog about, or maybe I should say I can’t find the time to blog here. Even though I want to, I long to, I enjoy it when I do, and miss it when I don’t. The fact is my life is busy, full, lively, and most of the time fun. That doesn’t keep me from feeling guilty about the things I can’t seem to get around too all the time, such as:
1. Blogging here, as I just mentioned often enough. (It has been over a week since my last post.)
2. The dirty dishes in my sink.
3. My messyliving room, bedroom, house.
4. That I don’t take my kids to story time at the local library.
5. That I don’t call my momma every day.
6. That I don’t make it to church every Sunday, even though it has been due to sick kids.
What about you? Do you have things you find yourself . . . not being able to do, though you want to, you mean to? Please share!
Do Your Kids Do Chores – A Giveaway

If there’s one thing I wish I could figure out about parenting, it is how to motivate my children to pick up their toys, clean up after themselves and not make such messes. I know that’s what children do, and I have to teach them, and they have to grow up a little, but there has got to be something to make this process a little better.
I would really like advice in this area though, my children are 6, 2.5 and 18 months. I want to be realistic but at the same time I need them to help. I could really use something like this handy dandy chore chart. I bet that would help huh? Here’s what one customer had to say about the chore chart:
“As soon as we started using this chart we noticed an improvement in our son’s behavior. Our expectations no longer seem arbitrary to him. Instead he knows what we expect, and he looks forward to reviewing the chart at each day’s end. When he has performed what is expected of him, he gets to place a smiley face magnet in the appropriate box.”
Well, if you give me some great chore advice I’ll enter you to win one. Yep! My Precious Kid has donated one to give away
here on the blog. Enter between now and Sunday, January 24 at midnight and you’ll be entered to win. Simply leave your chore advice in the comments below. (Contest valid in the United States only.)
I’ll randomly choose a winner on Monday, January 25.
It’s Back

I just read a heartwarming post over on one of my favorite blogs, “Adventures in BabyWearing” Steph was sharing how she felt about her eight almost nine year old son and I was warmed by her thoughts and how one day her son might read her blog. It made me think, uhoh, I stopped blogging my personal life to focus on business and ministry, all good things, but will my kids wonder why I stopped blogging about them? about life? about everyday stuff?
So, I couldn’t stand it. I couldn’t stand the thought of that. So, from now on I’ll be blogging here, for the kids. This one is for the kids. Those three precious, handfuls of mine. The oldest, which had his tonsils removed yesterday, and was such a brave little trooper.
Yes, this was AFTER surgery, can’t tell he had surgery huh?
So, I hope you’ll welcome me and my kids, back into the blogosphere. I can’t promise how frequently I’ll blog, but after almost two months I do miss it!
