Wow, It’s time to do this again?? I completely forgot until someone linked here saying they got the idea of a “weekend” recap from me. EEKKK!!
Anyway, this week honestly has been quite the “blur”. I started out the week in hopes of having baby #3 quickly. However, as I sit here with him still “baking” as some say, you can tell that didn’t happen. Hopefully tomorrow is the ever fateful day. I am going to the doctor at 10 am on Monday, pray he puts me in for induction.
So, recapping this week. Monday was the doctor’s appointment. I had dilated but since then nothing. Tuesday and Wednesday my mom and grandmother came over to help out with the kids and house. Praise God that was a blessing. Thursday I had to go it alone, and Friday Greg ended up off because his state car went capoot. We went out to lunch and out for supper, yay no cooking and had a good time spending time together.
I made mammoth to do lists this week in an effort to “stay busy”, which I pretty much did working online on my websites and installing two Wordpress blogs and doing customizations for two clients. This is sort of one of those “hobbies” I get paid to do. I know it’s not something I really have “time” for, but it’s relaxing and fun to me, I know I’m wierd, a nerd, go read yesterday’s post you’ll understand why I say that. But seriously, I learned Wordpress over time and I have come to love tweaking and playing with it. Fortunately for me there are people out there who hate doing this sort of thing but want a website or blog set up so they pay me. Win-win!
So, between all that and doing ministry related stuff, I booked a speaking engagement this week and worked out the details on that, I’ll be in Senatobia, MS speaking to Moms and daughters at First United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 23. Excited! I have stayed busy this week, ever so impatiently waiting for baby Brady to make his arrival. I am beyond ready and hope upon hope tomorrow is the BIG day!

2008
Ok, I have a confession to make. I secretly want a clean house. It must be my neat freak mom’s clean genes rearing their ugly head, but I have found that I secretly desire a clean house. And, I’m getting more and more frustrated these days because it seems that the harder I try, the less I succeed. I have had a great time cleaning and organizing with my Spring Cleaning Projects, the only issue, I keep thinking of more things I need to do.
Organizing is my favorite part of all this and the cleaning part well, it apparently comes with the territory. But, I walk into a not so clean kitchen today and I”m frustrated. Didn’t I just clean it up yesterday. I know, I know it’s an everyday occurrence. I have to deal with it. I also have to deal with the darn laundry that NEVER seems to go away.
I’m also wondering, how do you do all this AND run a ministry and writing business from home, and raise 2.5 kids (one is still in eutero), and be involved in your church, and let your kids play tee ball 4 nights a week (yes my son has four games next week). I’m worn out! What about you?? What’s your secret?

The Big Green Spring Clean
Exactly what I need and just in time, Spring has sprung and I don’t know if it’s the pretty weather (in the 80’s here today) or the fact that I am 6 months pregnant and could possibly be experiencing nesting, but I am in the mood to clean. This is a mood that doesn’t strike me that often, ask my hubby. Nope I may be one organized chick, but clean freak well that’s just not in my vocabulary. However, I’ve had a busy last couple of weeks, and i”ve gotten extremely behind on housework, so much so that I was getting sick of looking at the results.
So, this week I made a pact with myself and found some other ladies to chat with about cleaning, routines and the like over at Mom’s Talk Network, then I found some inspiration at The Organizing Junkie and finally I found Tiffany’s Big Green Spring Clean and decided to join in.
I’m going to be taking the month of April and into May if necessary to tackle some big Spring cleaning projects. I like Tiffany want to be more organized and I have other motivations too, such as baby #3 coming in July, and with trying to run a home business, a ministry and take care of children, you have to be as organized as possible.
So, Here is a list of my projects. I plan to keep you up to date on my progress, so let the games begin!
Spring Cleaning List
- Sort hand me downs received for my son.
- Clean out Baker’s Closet
- Organize Baker’s Closet
- Purge Items from Office Storage closet
- Clean off top of dryer
- Clean off top of my dresser
- Clean out fridge
- Organize Linen closet.
- Set up Command Center
- Organize Pantry

As you can see I crossed one project off my list today. My plan is to do one project per day. Wish me luck!
