Welcome back!
For a long time I have wanted to be able to provide a community for young girls online. As my ministry, Beauty by Design Ministries’ mission is “turning the hearts of girls towards God”. I felt that the net was lacking in a safe and interactive environment for girls to participate in. Though I have not been able to have the tools or the resources to create such a place I have found one that I can recommend in The Precious Girls Club. This fun and interactive website for young girls is just what I thought about for so long but more than I ever knew I could have created. Sponsored by Precious Moments, this place is perfect for young girls and safe too.
Not only do they have the interactive community they call “The Precious Girls Club” but they also have a “Precious Moms “ and a line of products to go along with them. These include figurines, charm bracelets, and books. I was sent one of the books called Operation Kindness, which teaches young girls the Biblical concept of kindness. It is one of the books in a series. They also stuffed dog too. Both are perfect products for young girls and best of all are the concepts that they teach.
I have a second copy of the book and a stuffed dog too to give away here on the blog. So, if you have a young girl please leave her name in the comments below and tell me how she would benefit from The Precious Girl’s Club to win a copy of Operation Kindness and the cute little stuffed puppy too. Giveaway will be held Wednesday,July 1.
Too Many Projects?

Can you have too many projects? It is something I should probably think about have thought about BEFORE I started what has become my many projects these days. I thrive on “projects” ask my friends and family who would say, “you wouldn’t be Alyssa without a project”. Projects truly do keep me going. Every morning I pray for my projects and I pray for God’s guidance so that I can focus on what he would have me to focus on, and that he’d help me to prioritize. It works.
So, are you curious about what the many projects I currently have going on are? Well, here’s a run down. My current projects include:
FaithLeaps.com - Developing the materials for the membership site which will officially launch on Thursday of this week. Find details about that over at my ministry blog.
Vacation Bible School - I am the director of the VBS at my church this year. I know summer is months away but I like to get started early, back when this was part of my job as Youth & Children’s director I always started in January. So far I have chosen a curriculum, met w/ my co-director and made a list of possible workers, I’ve also confirmed positions with a few workers already. VBS is set for June 15-19.
Taking Seminary classes online. – This is another project, and will be ongoing for the rest of this year. This is the hardest thing for me to make time for because it requires me to focus and not get interrupted which is difficult w/ three small children.
Planning my 10 Year HS Reunion. – This is my newest project and one I am excited about. 10 years has flown by, I loved HS, I had great friendships and I am ready to “reconnect” with those I haven’t seen in a long time. Even just catching up via Facebook and a couple phone calls has been fun! The reunion is set for Sat. June 27.
In addition to these “projects” I have 5 clients that I write for weekly. I have a good schedule worked out for them though so I get all “client work” done Monday – Wednesday.
What about you are you a “project” person? Do you think you can have too many projects? I’d love to know your thoughts.
Thumbs Up Yoplait! Review & Giveaway

I was recently given the opportunity to try out Yoplait Kids Yogurt with my kids and also received a Yoplait cooler and a Brain Building game for a giveway here on the Review blog. Excited about the opportunity, it was so much fun to receive the goodies in the mail.
Then, my son couldn’t wait for me to get the yogurt from the store. He was thrilled that it had Dora on the side, one of the pluses of the Yoplait Kid’s Yogurt, it features characters your kids love, making it more appealing to them. The yogurt we chose was strawberry and strawberry-vanilla and featured Dora. It also comes in Diego and the Backyardigans and contains the nutrient Omega-3 DHA, an important nutrient to help support healthy brain development in kids.
Once I got our yogurt home my son had to try it immediately and he and his sister have zipped through the package of 6 quickly. They really love the fruity taste and of course their favorite part is that it is “Dora yogurt”.
Two thumbs up Yoplait for this kid friendly, healthy treat for our kids. And thanks for the cool Yoplait cooler and Brain-Quest game, (for ages 2-3), plus the coupon for free yogurt, all of which I have one to giveaway.
Now, for the giveaway, all you have to do to enter is leave a comment here on the blog with a valid email address. I will be choosing the winner on Monday, September 15 so check back then!
And, if you want to try the Yoplait Kids Yogurt for yourself you can find a coupon for $1.50 off on their website.
