Do Your Kids Do Chores – A Giveaway

Welcome back!

If there’s one thing I wish I could figure out about parenting, it is how to motivate my children to pick up their toys, clean up after themselves and not make such messes.  I know that’s what children do, and I have to teach them, and they have to grow up a little, but there has got to be something to make this process a little better.

I would really like advice in this area though, my children are 6, 2.5 and 18 months.  I want to be realistic but at the same time I need them to help.  I could really use something like this handy dandy chore chart.  I bet that would help huh? Here’s what one customer had to say about the chore chart:

“As soon as we started using this chart we noticed an improvement in our son’s behavior. Our expectations no longer seem arbitrary to him. Instead he knows what we expect, and he looks forward to reviewing the chart at each day’s end. When he has performed what is expected of him, he gets to place a smiley face magnet in the appropriate box.”

Well, if you give me some great chore advice I’ll enter you to win one.  Yep! My Precious Kid has donated one to give awaychore-chart-responsibility here on the blog.  Enter between now and Sunday, January 24 at midnight and you’ll be entered to win.  Simply leave your chore advice in the comments below.  (Contest valid in the United States only.)

I’ll randomly choose a winner on Monday, January 25.

I Could Use Your Help

skimbacoAs you have probably read I”m trying to get to Blissdom, a bloggers conference in Nashville next month. I went last year had a wonderful experience and want to repeat. There are various contests online and one is a writing contest. As I am a writer this one appealed me. Today, my post is up at Skimbaco. Can you do me a favor and go comment? Thanks!

Follow Your Bliss

I will admit that 2009 was a good year for me. As I have previously posted in my 2009 Review post I had a ton of blessings to take place. More than ever before I was affirmed that I am doing with my life what God has called me to do. My ministry and my writing business both grew in 2009 instead of standing still or becoming stagnant.

With the economy in a topsy turvy state this in itself is a blessing. Therefore looking back over the year I was extremely blessed to be able to participate in some “opportunities” that “topped the cake” to the blissful life I already live. Meaning that I am already extremely blessed to be a work at home mom who gets to do what I love everyday, but even more so I was giving the blessings and opportunities of attending some conferences in this past year that were simply bliss.  blissdom

The first was Blissdom 09, this past February. I have been a blogger since 2005, but had rarely met any of the ladies I interact with online. It was nothing but per bliss to be able to sit in a room amongst over 200 of them during Blissdom in Nashville.

Secondly, I got to rub shoulders with some internet marketing girls and gals at BOSS 09 in San Antonio in October. I learned from some amazing people such as Carrie Wilkerson, the Barefoot Executive, David Frey, @AskMrVideo, and @Nicheology. What an opportunity.

For a work at home mom who doesn’t get out much, but does have the opportunity to follow her bliss everyday by pursuing her passions online, being in the same room with other people who get that is BLISS.

Blissdom Conference ~ Nashville ~ February 4-6 2010This post is written so that I can have a little bliss in 2010, as an entry into a contest over at Mom in the City to win a ticket to Blissdom 2010.
