It Isn’t More Than I Can Bear

Welcome back!
I know God’s promises are true, He will never give us more than we can bear. I know that the week I have had could have been worse and that my life and situations and circumstances could be as well. Nevertheless, I have had a difficult week. All in all my kids have all 3 been to the doctor this week, my oldest went to the ER on Wednesday night for an allergic reaction and my mom was in the ER all day Saturday practically with something we still don’t know what is wrong. They say it isn’t “life threatening” but is still scary for us.
My baby boy whose eyes I blogged about week’s ago finally had his eye appointment on Friday and he was found to be nearsighted -3. This is very rare in babies and is most likely inherited. My dad is legally blind and his nearsightedness at this point is -15. It hasn’t been that bad all his life, but we aren’t sure what it was when he first got glasses at 18 months. His eyesight gradually got worse with age. We don’t know at this point whether or not Brady’s will do this.
I was 90% certain before the appointment that there was something wrong. I am glad we are able to get glasses and help him. I know it will be difficult to keep glasses on a 9 month old little man, but it is definitely worth trying. This explains so much. Brady is a much more clingy child than my other two ever were, and he also cries when I get a certain distance away from him. Now we know why. He cannot see me.
As for my mom, her symptoms and issues are mysterious and I am not sure when we will know what exactly is wrong. Please say a prayer.

Wow! 9 months. Glad you are on top of things. My 2 month old little guy’s dad is legally blind in his left and has trouble with his right eye. Something I will have to be on the look out for.
