Writing…my passion
These last few days I pondered whether to take on this new challenge, 30 Articles in 30 Days. I’m glad I finally did because one of my goals is to write for publication. Writing is after all my passion. I love to write, it is a great way to de-stress, express myself, share with others, encourage, there is just so much you can do when you write.
Unfortunately lately writing has become a means by which I make income, so many times I’m too burnt out writing for others to write for myself, for ministry, for encouragement. I had pulled back from writing for others because of this, but then I needed the money so I’m back in the game. I’m trying to balance it and remind myself that I have to do both, I have to make it work someway, somehow.
My hope is that one day the writing I do for myself and for ministry will pay off. I think fear is the only thing holding me back from actual publication. Fear of being rejected. I know that I should take that step but so far I have yet to do so.
Nevertheless, it remains a goal of mine a dream and writing remains my passion.

This is a challenge that many face, getting paid to do what you love can make the task somewhat more burdensome. However, most never get the opportunity to have an income tied to their passion so consider yourself blessed.

My friend Mel over at Mel’s World had a saying. I has encouraged my heart.
“Dream Big — God Does”
So dream and with the Lord help you WILL reach them.
Fear is a big factor when not going after what you want. Something I’ve learned to do (since I am often in the same boat) is to schedule 1 - 2 nights a week where I just write for me. Whether it be a project I’m working on, a topic I want to research, random musings, whatever, that time is for my writing only. It’s tough to keep that commitment, but it definitely pays off. Good luck!
Everything I read of yours is great. Trust in yourself you can do it.
I like Angela’s suggestion where you schedule a time to write solely for yourself. I do lot of writing for my business and I find that I do have to take the time to write on my personal blog so that I don’t get “burnt out”.
You can do it.
I couldn’t do what you are trying to do!
If you want to write, you will.

I can sooo relate to this, well…minus having a ministry part.
Follow your heart, girlfriend….you can’t go wrong with that!!
