Weekend Recap

Published by Alyssa Avant at 1:24 pm under Just News

It has truly been one of those weeks.  The kind where you wish you could just go back to bed and start over.  Not 1 but 3 of my kids have had some type of sickness, but my 4 year old ended up in the emergency room on Thursday with what they determined was the beginning of pneumonia. Talk about scary, his breathing was very labored and shallow.  Luckily after 2 huge shots in his hips he is doing better today.

Needless to say, I ended up spending 3 out of 5 days last week in doctor’s offices or at the ER.  The plans I had to have a week that was very routine and got me back on track just DID NOT happen.  So, I”m hoping this will be the week! The week to get on track.

This past week was one of those weeks that could very easily give me a bad attitude as well.  I had gotten a good many orders from my new website Creative Installs for Hire, but then I didn’t have time to do them.  I felt pushed to get them done being I had promised them to clients but it was completely out of my control.  I’ve spent the weekend playing catch up.

I could have had a bad attitude, that would be only human nature right?  But, needless to say I’ve tried my best to stay positive. This even inspired an article that I’m sharing over at my ministry site. We have to “be prepared’ as Christians to be Christ-like in our attitides even on weeks like this one.

That is right. The Devil comes to steal and destroy our peace- certainly sounds like he was trying to take yours last week. Hope all the kiddos are feeling better!!

I have had those weeks before and it is tough to keep a good attitude. I’m sure many prayers were said.

You know, another week begins! With that, a fresh perspective.

Congratulations on your new venture. I wish you the best of blessings!
