Taking a Breather – It’s Tough Staying on Track

Welcome back!
Well, I normally have blogged here by this time of day, but I am JUST NOW taking a breather. Today has been a busy day. This morning I had to take my baby girl for shots, no fun and it killed an hour of my morning. The hour I normally spend on Breakfast, my quiet time and emails. So, I was put off by an hour. Then, I had some more time intense articles to write so the article writing today took longer than normal today too. I am just now slowing down from working and I’m about 30 minutes away from my designated house cleaning and organizing time of day.
One thing I’ve been doing lately is keeping a daily time log. I have also been trying to follow a schedule and routines a bit closer. Though I do not like to be stuck to a strict schedule I have found that if I use one to at least route my path throughout my day it helps even if I become a bit flexible and take a detour at some point it helps me to get me back on track when I have gotten too far off.
The daily time log has enabled me to see what I have actually done throughout that day and many days this helps me to feel accomplished while other days I say, well I’m glad I work from home and have the flexibility to just deal with the kids if I need to, which some days is the case.
So, What about you? What do you do to keep on track?

I find my best time to get things done is before I turn on the laptop! Once I turn on the computer, I’m instantly sucked in to the cyber world, my online business and before I know it….I have clicked the day away. So – before I even step into the office, my designated time to do house work or run errands is BEFORE the computer gets turned on. It’s actually been motivating to get everything done ahead of time so there is no pressure to stop and worry about getting things done while you’re online. Makes for a more focused, productive day.

I fly by the seat of my pants most of the time. When it comes to my business I always set a time limit though.
