Ok, I have a confession to make. I secretly want a clean house. It must be my neat freak mom’s clean genes rearing their ugly head, but I have found that I secretly desire a clean house. And, I’m getting more and more frustrated these days because it seems that the harder I try, the less I succeed. I have had a great time cleaning and organizing with my Spring Cleaning Projects, the only issue, I keep thinking of more things I need to do.
Organizing is my favorite part of all this and the cleaning part well, it apparently comes with the territory. But, I walk into a not so clean kitchen today and I”m frustrated. Didn’t I just clean it up yesterday. I know, I know it’s an everyday occurrence. I have to deal with it. I also have to deal with the darn laundry that NEVER seems to go away.
I’m also wondering, how do you do all this AND run a ministry and writing business from home, and raise 2.5 kids (one is still in eutero), and be involved in your church, and let your kids play tee ball 4 nights a week (yes my son has four games next week). I’m worn out! What about you?? What’s your secret?

Well, yesterday was the first time I’d done a Wordless Wednesday in a while. The picture was from my son’s first tee ball game ever. He did so well and I was very proud of him. He has 10 games total so we have 9 to go. We have 4 of them next week. Yes, he plays Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Well, I normally have blogged here by this time of day, but I am JUST NOW taking a breather. Today has been a busy day. This morning I had to take my baby girl for shots, no fun and it killed an hour of my morning. The hour I normally spend on Breakfast, my quiet time and emails. So, I was put off by an hour. Then, I had some more time intense articles to write so the article writing today took longer than normal today too. I am just now slowing down from working and I’m about 30 minutes away from my designated house cleaning and organizing time of day.
One thing I’ve been doing lately is keeping a daily time log. I have also been trying to follow a schedule and routines a bit closer. Though I do not like to be stuck to a strict schedule I have found that if I use one to at least route my path throughout my day it helps even if I become a bit flexible and take a detour at some point it helps me to get me back on track when I have gotten too far off.
The daily time log has enabled me to see what I have actually done throughout that day and many days this helps me to feel accomplished while other days I say, well I’m glad I work from home and have the flexibility to just deal with the kids if I need to, which some days is the case.
So, What about you? What do you do to keep on track?

Here is my menu plan for the week I think I even have it down to days this time. I am also VERY proud of myself because last night I prepped 3 meals while cooking dinner so I cooked part of 4 meals at one time. I was ecstatic.
Here is the meal list. We have 2 ball games this week so I tried to make a couple easy nights for myself.
Monday - Taco Pie
Tuesday - Crockpot Lasagna, Beans, Garlic bread
Wednesday - Eat @ Church
Thursday - Parmesan Meatballs, scalloped potatoes, beans
Friday - Chicken nuggets, pasta salad, corn
Saturday - We bought tickets for grilled chicken plates from the Boy Scouts.
I have already prepped the taco pie, its ready for the oven and I have browned the meat for the lasagna. I have also mixed up and frozen the meatballs. What a time saver! Whoo hoo!
