Today, I am happy to report that I am motivated. I have gotten my writing done which is a huge undertaking to say the least. Especially today because my husband is off work for some crazy holiday and home. He luckily took my son to school so that helped.
I am contributing my motivation to the fact that I had an oddly un-productive week last week and I was determined to make up for it this week. Also, I have some goals that I want to meet before the end of the month, which is now only 2 days away.
One key to staying motivated for me that I think everyone can benefit from is to set myself some goals. I believe everyone should have goals, daily, weekly and monthly are a good start, but yearly and even lifetime goals are better. I set my yearly goals back in January during the celebration of the New Year. I thought now would be a good time to refresh my memory of those. Here they are:
Well, let’s see, some of these goals I am right on target with while others, I have decided to drop or rephrase. I think that is okay, don’t you?
Regardless I think setting goals is important, after all there is a saying that says, “A person that aims at nothing is sure to hit it.” So, if we want to achieve things we must give ourselves something, rather than nothing to aim at, and goals are that something. Don’t forget to :
I would love your thoughts about goals and aims. Comment below.

The moms over at 5 Minutes for Moms are giving away a great deal, a Kodak ESP 3 All in One printer. They said Moms do a lot of printing and yes that’s true. I’d love to win this so I’m blogging about it so I can be entered. This is part of their Mother’s Day Giveaways. Head over there to enter yourself!

I just Twittered this question, “Why is it that some weeks are so productive and others you step back and say, “Where did this week go?” That is the question I am sitting here asking myself. “Where did this week go?” I just don’t feel I was as productive this week as the last couple of weeks. At the beginning of April I got extremely motivated to clean and organize. Not sure if it was because of my pregnancy and a form of nesting or if it was the nice Spring weather we were having, but I sure got on the ball. I made a list of Spring Cleaning Projects and began tackling them. Before this week began I had tackled all but 3 of 11 projects. I also hired an organizing coach and became so motivated i have a new project that involves organizing.
Now, this week has been an exception. It flew by, I had some appointments outside the home and my son started playing actual tee ball games so we have been out more than I have been in week’s past. I have learned one thing it’s much harder to get things done when you don’t stay home. I am going to chock this week’s lack of productivity up to doing too much running and hope for a better week this week, however I am not too optimistic because my son has 4 tee ball games this week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and we always attend church on Wednesday’s therefore it appears that we will be gone EVERY night this week to something. OY!!! Wish me luck!

Ok I’m not normally one to rave about a particular food, especially not a fruity food, but I have discovered an oh so healthy little treat I had to share with everyone. They are Del Monte Fruit Chillers and they come in some awesome flavors, Arctic Strawberry, Polar Raspberry and Glacial Mango. When I discovered them at the store on sale this week 2 for $5 for a package of 4 I decided to scoop up the Polar Raspberry and give them a try.
I was NOT disappointed. In fact I hope I can keep these fruity cups a secret from my family because they are an oh so sweet treat for mom. They are very much like sorbet and smooth, creamy and delicious. They weren’t the rock hard ice cube I expected them to be after being in the fridge since Wednesday. They were delightfully easy to scoop and eat. I just finished my first one of in less than 5 minutes and new I had to come blog about them, though I never blog about things I have tried, but hey maybe Del Monte will decide they want to advertise here on my site…. yes, I’ll take ads!
Here is another review of them on a blog called Slashfood, check it out.

Ok, I have a confession to make. I secretly want a clean house. It must be my neat freak mom’s clean genes rearing their ugly head, but I have found that I secretly desire a clean house. And, I’m getting more and more frustrated these days because it seems that the harder I try, the less I succeed. I have had a great time cleaning and organizing with my Spring Cleaning Projects, the only issue, I keep thinking of more things I need to do.
Organizing is my favorite part of all this and the cleaning part well, it apparently comes with the territory. But, I walk into a not so clean kitchen today and I”m frustrated. Didn’t I just clean it up yesterday. I know, I know it’s an everyday occurrence. I have to deal with it. I also have to deal with the darn laundry that NEVER seems to go away.
I’m also wondering, how do you do all this AND run a ministry and writing business from home, and raise 2.5 kids (one is still in eutero), and be involved in your church, and let your kids play tee ball 4 nights a week (yes my son has four games next week). I’m worn out! What about you?? What’s your secret?

Well, yesterday was the first time I’d done a Wordless Wednesday in a while. The picture was from my son’s first tee ball game ever. He did so well and I was very proud of him. He has 10 games total so we have 9 to go. We have 4 of them next week. Yes, he plays Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
