Thankful for healthy babies

Welcome back!
As I sit here and read the twitters of my friends discussing their children’s breathing problems and talking of nebulizers, I am thankful that my children are healthy. I have had two very uneventful, healthy pregnancies that resulted in two very healthy, beautiful babies. My son never got sick till he was almost two years old and even now he and Lily only get an occasional cold or sinus mess.
This is truly a blessing in a world where babies and children suffer so many different horrible diseases and illnesses. Even so, my babies being here on earth with me for however long a time the Lord wills is another blessing. I have a good friend who lost a baby this year, so I am always reminded to count my blessings. Thank you Lord for healthy babies that I can love on each day.

You are so right to be thankful for healthy babies. Even though my son has respiratory issues from being premature, he is otherwise healthy and ‘normal’. My friend has 4 boys, 3 of which have autism. I am thankful for her friendship – she teaches me patience everyday. And I am thankful I can be her friend and give her a shoulder to lean on!
