Welcome back!
Yes, I’ve created a new category, WAHM (Work at Home Mom) Wednesday. This will be a place where I will share with you all the many things that allow me to work from home. I made the decision to work from home about 6 months ago. It was a scary one to make for sure, giving up a steady salary and coming home to “live on faith” as I like to say. You see, I stepped out on faith to pursue my ministry to tween and teen girls, and their moms full time with Beauty By Design Ministries. I jumped on the net to broaden my reach, so to speak, and began the Mom-Daughter Connection Ezine and the Radio Show which is my newest endeavor. So, what is making it all work and helping to pay the bills… well… a few awesome tools I have found online, some groups that keep me encouraged and I’m sure there are other things I’m just not thinking of right now. So whether it be an awesome group or an awesome tool check back each Wednesday to find out about it here.
My first tool that makes my life and my ministry a ton easier is WAHMCart. This is the tool I use to manage my mailing lists, as well as for a shopping cart. It can also be used for an affiliate program though I don’t currently run one. The thing that impressed me most about this tool is the ease of use as well as the cool functions. I had originally began my mailing list with a Yahoo group. With this group there was so much that I could not do. When I transitioned to WAHMCart not only could I do those things, but more. At the time of my transition I had approximately 50 subscribers. Since my transition my list has more than doubled at 219 subscribers today. I believe WAHMCarts awesome features helped to make that possible. The subscribe box I was able to create and display on my page as well as being able to automatically opt out of my list if they so choose by clicking a link at the bottom of their email has made it so user friendly for those subscribing to my list.
Another feature I adore is the calendar and being able to pre-submit emails to be sent to my list days, weeks or even months in advance. You can also use WAHMCart to be set up as an auto responder if you are creating a tutorial or how to series or even hosting a tele-seminar and need to send out seminar information as people sign up for the seminar. All these features blow me away!
I am truly pleased with WAHMCart!
