You know I always thought of myself as a confident person, especially since I’ve gotten older.  But today, for some odd reason I do not feel very confident.  I am in “worry wart” mode.  I’m worrying about money, kids, my career, my life, all that stuff.  It’s funny because I have to give a speech this weekend on “Self confidence” that very thing!  So, I’m like, “Ok Alyssa you’ve got to get a hold of yourself”.  So ladies, I need a “confidence boost”.  What do you all do to build your confidence?

  1. Take a deep breath and look at all your accomplishments and gifts in life…your health, your marriage, your kids, your education, your friends, your family…your sparkly personality :-) !

I agree with Sharon Above. Also make a list of the things that you have on your mind. I find that journaling gets all of those things rattling in my brain out and onto paper.

I don’t have much of a problem with this anymore. I sure would love to have the confidence I have now when I was in my teens and twenties though! I missed out on so much.

Whenever I am in need of a little confidence pick me up I go get my haircut! Trust me it works, a fresh new haircut always makes you feel better – well as long as the hairstylist knows what she is doing, lol!

But I also wouldn’t be surprised if this whole confidence issue isn’t the enemy just trying to work his nasty little lies into your life right now, ESPECIALLY since you are giving a speech soon on this very topic!

I’m with Heather and the haircut. It’s amazing how anytime I’m lacking confidence what a little makeup, a new hair do and dressing ‘up’ can do for the confidence level!
