Missing My Man

Welcome back!
Tonight my husband is gone and will be gone until Saturday night. He just left 2 hours ago but I still already miss him. We usually aren’t apart much. We’ve been apart very little actually. Only in the past 2-3 years have I spent time apart from him. The first 4-5 years of our marriage we never were apart over night. I still don’t like to be but sometimes it’s necessary. Tonight and tomorrow night are one of those times. My husband is working at a Motorcycle Rally this weekend to make extra money. The thing is he can make $400-500 in 3 days. So, it’s worth it.
We will be using this money for vacation. My husband when he was young never got to go on vacation. His mom and dad just never took them, he is determined we are going on a “family” vacation every year. He doesn’t want our kids to miss out on it. It is something that I have found is very important to him. I’m glad, though my family did go we didn’t go every year but I do remember our vacations fondly.
Anyway, ya’ll think about me while my hubby is away. What about you do you miss you hubby if he’s away?

I too remember a few of our family vacations but my husband on the other hand did not go on any family vacations either. We will be going on our first one next year. Our youngest will be six years old and I think she will really enjoy the vacation.
I have to tell you my husband works for the railraod and so when he first started working it was so hard to be away from my husband I would walk around the house super sad, cry and miss him but it is so true absents makes the heart grow founder and I would say that I truly love my husband more each and every day and it makes me really appriacate when he is home with me. I will be praying for you while your husband is away and that your husband returns home safely and quickly.

I thought I would check in and see how your 30-day challenge was going. Sorry to hear your hubs is away. SO hard when they are gone, huh? When mine is away the kids and I spend the time planning a party for his return. We make banners, posters, blow up balloons, etc. It really helps the kids get through missing their Daddy.
Hang in there, he’ll be back before you know it.

Last year my hubbs was gone every day through the week and home on weekends. It got so hard and we finally made the move to another state so he would no longer have to do that. Yes it was good money, but it was so hard on the family. We missed each other so much.
